The electrolyte green smoothie maintains hydration and is my daily lifeblood. What makes it so vital is the nutrient-rich chlorophyll in the kale and spinach. Besides being a natural detoxifier, chlorophyll is a plant heme and has a similar molecular structure as our own blood, and when we consume it, it oxygenates our blood, cells, tissue, and vital organs with essential vitamins and minerals.

Coco-Cacao ‘Almond Joy’
Decadent nutrition may sound like an oxymoron, but I managed to marry the two in this fabulously delicious smoothie. It mimics my all-time favorite Almond Joy/Mounds candy bars. What I love most, besides its yumminess, is the cacao chocolate. Organic cacao is considered nature’s wonder food. Its antioxidant levels out-pace blueberries 40-1 and wallops spinach 2-1 as the highest plant-based source of iron on the planet. In addition to its nutrient value, cacao naturally boosts energy as it elevates mood by stimulating serotonin levels in the brain.
