Blackberry-Currant, Vodka

BlackberryRecipe notes: What you will need:1-2qt Mason jar, cheesecloth, and strainer. Active prep time: 5-minutes. Inactive time for infusion: 1-month. Yields 750ml. Difficulty level: Very Easy


  • 2-3-cups blackberries
  • 1/4-cup black currants
  • 1-vanilla bean split lengthwise
  • 750ml vodka


  1. Place berries, black currants, and vanilla in Mason jar, and pour in vodka.
  2. Secure lid and store in pantry.
  3. Shake or stir infusion weekly.

2-weeks later: Remove vanilla, and continue to cure.

1-month later: Strain berries and transfer infusion to desired bottle.

Note: vodka is best kept in the freezer.
